What is the International Foundation Year?
The International Foundation Year is a two-semester programme delivered at the International Study Centre. Upon successful completion of the International Foundation Year, and achieving the required grades, you will join the first year of your chosen undergraduate degree at Liverpool John Moores University.

Who is this programme for?
This programme is designed for international students who have good academic qualifications and are looking to further develop their English language skills and academic subject knowledge.
What you will study
This International Foundation Year programme offers two pathways, which lead to undergraduate study at Liverpool John Moores University. Students on the International Foundation Year can choose between studying either Business, Law and Social Studies or Engineering, Computing and Life Sciences. Completion of either pathway will lead on to a variety of progression degrees.

Business, Law and Social Studies
The International Foundation Year in Business, Law, and Social Studies is a two-semester programme that equips you with the essential skills and knowledge needed for your degree. Upon successful completion and meeting the required grades, you'll progress to the first year of your chosen business, law, or social studies degree at Liverpool John Moores University.
Engineering, Computing and Life Sciences
The International Foundation Year in Engineering is a two-semester programme designed to prepare you for an undergraduate degree in engineering at Liverpool John Moores University. By completing the programme and achieving the required grades, you'll gain direct entry into the first year of your chosen engineering degree, equipped with essential knowledge in mechanics, mathematics, and physics.
